While developing my style, I found color theories that explained concepts to me... and I decided to take it to my field, because I do not skip words and materialize it in a composition that seeks to honor (in this case) Goethe and his color theory:
Goethe saw colour as a living phenomenon, a bridge between light and shadow, between perception and emotion.
The diagonal line structure and chromatic blocks refer to the tension between light and dark, the way Goethe understood that colour emerges in the interaction of the two. The bands of vibrant colour create an optical effect that is not static, evoking his idea that colour is not just a physical attribute, but an experience that changes depending on who is observing it and under what lighting conditions.
Warm and cool tones exist in an unstable balance, almost as if they were in dispute, reflecting Goethe's theory of complementary colours and their psychological influence. It is not just a question of aesthetics; it is an exploration of how colour affects us beyond the retina, on an emotional and cognitive level.
So this work does not simply express Goethe's colour theory: it puts it into practice. It is a field of visual experimentation where light, shadow and perception dialogue with each other, inviting you to feel the color instead of just seeing it.
