Carnot III

Inspired by the work of Sadi Carnot, the father of thermodynamics, -Carnot III- is born. This work was part of a series that evolved over time, and I sought to translate the essence of thermodynamic cycles and the concept of heat engines into artistic expressiveness.

Color, geometry, and the superposition of elements seek to induce a sense of movement and transformation, evoking the processes of absorption and dissipation of energy in a thermal cycle.

Vibrant contrasts of red, blue, and green symbolize changes in temperature and energy flow, while angular black structures suggest the rigorous mechanics and efficiency of an ideal heat engine. Yellow functions as a visual bridge between these dynamics (the conversion of energy into useful work).

But beyond abstraction, this work seeks to capture a fascinating paradox: the struggle between the mathematical order of thermodynamic cycles and the inevitable dissipation of energy dictated by entropy. As in physics, in this piece everything is dynamic balance, contrast and constant transformation."

I love the idea that everything in the universe is in a cycle, just like in a heat engine: we take in energy, we use it and some of it escapes. "Carnot" is my way of showing that invisible dance of physics with lines, colors and rhythm.
